Emoji Concepts

Insight:
New emojis are revealed every fall, and people get so excited about it. The new Apple iOS 13.2 released nearly 400 new emojis - ones that aim at inclusiveness (people with disabilities i.e. wheelchair, blind; more skin color varations; gender-neutral people, redheads), more food items that might relate to the food or other random things (waffles, falafel, oysters), and of course Saturn and an otter! But even with this update, there are always situations over the holidays that we sometimes find we might need an emoji for but it doesn't exist.

Solution:
Design special-edition holiday emojis to represent those holiday moments that you don't want to talk about. This works especially because the purpose of an emoji is to use instead of words.

I worked with our design team and an artist to make this vision come to life.
